Impression Evidence
One of the most overlooked forms of physical evidence is impression evidence. Due to the lack of specific training, impression evidence can often be overlooked or unknowingly destroyed. Our products have been designed to assist the field agent with ease of use while preserving the evidence perfectly.
FootTrexTM
Through our case work and research we have developed innovative transparency lifters that are simple to use while providing examination quality standards. As Certified Footwear Examiners (CFWE) we have developed these lifters with the examiner and field technician in mind. Our lifters measure 6” x 15” providing ample space to record the impression and take notes. TireTrexTM
Pioneer Forensics introduces a new method for taking tire standards for quality examinations. Through our case work and research as footwear and tire examiners we have developed innovative transparency lifters that are simple to use while providing examination quality standards. No more messy inks, long drying times, or unprotected powdered sheets to clean up after. Our transparency lifters provide exceptional detail and come with protective cover sheets. This means you can begin your examination minutes after rolling the suspect tire. As working criminalists we also understand that your garage space is limited. With that in mind we’ve developed a method which allows you to roll out full revolutions in small spaces. The old ink methods typically required 14’ to 16’ to record a complete tire rotation. Our method requires less than eight feet for a full revolution in most cases. Our sheets measure 20”x 48” providing you with plenty of space for the impression and corresponding notes.

TrexLiftsTM and TrexCaseTM
TrexLifts are metalized Dura-Lar® specifically designed for Electrostatic Dust Lifting applications available in rolls of 10” x 50” rolls to allow the user flexibility. TrexCase is a 11" by 17" case specifically designed to prevent damage and deterioration to electrostatic dust lifts. TrexCase uses an electrostatic friendly coating on rigid cardstock to preserve the impression captured on the ESDL film. This prevents twisting and “folds over" of the film containing the fragile impression evidence. Once encapsulated in the TrexCase the ESDL will be preserved for life. TrexCase takes collection and transport from the scene to the exam room and subsequent storage in the evidence room a worry free process.
